After living on the east coast my entire life in Virgina, Georgia, Massachusetts (Northboro 1979 - 1987 and Truro, Cape Cod 4/2008 - 9/2008), New Jersey (1987), Pennsylvania and New York (Brooklyn 2005-2008), I decided to move West in 2016. I spent most of my time in Philadelphia, PA. In January 2016, I decided to sell my house, get rid of everything and pack up what I needed in my SUV and drove West. I followed my son around on his college golf tournaments from 2016-2018. I thought I wanted to live near San Diego, CA so I planned on traveling for 3 months, but I ended up traveling for 2.5 years. I left on July 29, 2016 after I closed on the sell of my house. At the age of 45 and solo, I began my journey.

10/24/16 * As I was shopping in Target preparing for my 2 week trip to Hawaii, I received a call from my mother’s boyfriend that she had died in Hakone, Japan from drowning in a hot spring tub after passing out.
10/24 - 10/28 * San Francisco, CA - to my brother’s house
10/28 - 11/1 * Tokyo, Japan - My mother was cremated and the Japanese Bone ceremony was performed and we brought her ashes back to the US. On the flight back, the flight attendant suggested putting her ashes in the box buckled in first class. I wish i got a picture of that.
